Crazy Woman Creek 2nd Hike
Warmer this time. Perfect hike! Saw a Moose at the TH, he was across the creek staring at Kala and I. I didn't move, not wanting to spook him and taking in the moment. It was a great hike, lots of different animal tracks, Kala found a fresh elk skeleton under the snow. We had lunch on top of Kala Rock overlooking the creek and the canyon. I cut it short when Kala started barking and running up and down a hillside. There have been reports of mountain lions being active in the area. Wonderful trip!

Crazy Woman first hike
Crazy Woman Creek goes through a canyon. It was -2 at the trail head. While moving, it was fine, but very windy at the trailhead, giving a windchill of -17 or so. I couldn't find the trail so I headed back (I later learned that there is no trail, it's self guided).
