City Park Crit is an annual race put on by my racing club, in fact, it's one of the oldest in Colorado. Idella did a great job designing the poster, she also did the RIFF poster.
First leg of our New York/London trip was New York! We stayed a week and then 1 night on the way back from London. Top photo was taken from our 36th floor hotel room overlooking Times Sq on our return leg. Second photo is from the reading room in the NY Library and the last photo from inside the Guggenheim.
During our New York/London trip, we took the chunnel to Paris for a night. We can never get enough of Paris. I found a great hotel right off the Seine next to Notre Dame. Tripadvisor.com is great for seeing reviews and photos of actual rooms from other travelers.
Few of my favorite photos from London. We spent 3 weeks there during December/Jan in 2005/2006. Rented a flat off craigslist.org in Notting Hill. photos of the building and clouds is the Naval Academy, the Ten Bells is one of London's oldest operating pubs. In fact, its where Jack the Ripper trolled for his victims. Third photos is of St Peters and the Millennium Bridge.
Just got back from visiting the Bus. It's coming along! working on window, door hinge and final touching up on paint. Safari windows are gonna be killer. Can't believe it's the same Bus!
Last month my wife had her own film festival for her birthday. Her last name is Rucki, hence the 1st annual RIFF. Our friends flew in from Seattle and we had a blast. drank too much wine and enjoyed the movie. If you've ever seen Touch of Evil on the small screen, but never the big screen, you must. It's a completely different movie! Then opening scene, the angles, Orson Welles at his best!
Started the restoration little over a year ago. Someone had painted the Bus green with a brush. Had to take 4 layers of paint off to get to the metal. Lots of new metal all around. Getting close! Planning on getting updated photos with the trim. Body work is phase one, next is engine then interior.
Took this photo last Thanksgiving as I was coming back down from the Big Horn Mtns. I love biking in Buffalo in November. Never know what weather you are going to get. Road Bike or Mtn Bike weather!
View up towards summit of Mt Evans, mile marker 4 (only 10 more to the top). Due to snow, I turned around at mile 5 and headed back to Bergen Park. Total Miles was 48.
Mt. Evans is the highest paved road in North America, goes up to over 14,000 ft. Didn't see any Rams today.
Headed out for a long ride today, started out at Bergen Park in Evergreen, CO. 18 miles up on Squaw Pass (photo) then a left turn to either go up Mt. Evans or right down into Idaho Springs. Ride up was great! ride down was wet!
